She is a member of two working groups for negotiation of the Croatian accession to the EU. She represented Croatia in a number of UN and EU working groups related to the development of information society. \n<\/strong>Franci Pivec was President of the Government Council of High Education in 2010 when the\u00a0 Strategy for Higher Education in Slovenia was prepared and adopted by the Government. He is a member of the Slovenian Sociaty INFORMATIKA (SSI) Board and is president of the SSI Chapter of Seniors. He is active in ethical aspects of informatics and is the author of the SSI Code of Ethics.

\nDr. Imants Freibergs is an IT consultant. He is a member of the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA) and its past-president 2001-2009. From 1976-99, he was Professor of Informatics at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), Canada. His research and professional consulting activities focus on software engineering. He has been a member and IT expert of various academic, governmental and non-governmental committees and working groups in Latvia and for UNESCO, 2000-2009.

\n<\/strong>Marek Ho\u0142ynski is Director of the Computer Science Institute in Warsaw. He was President of the Polish Information Processing Society until June 2011 and is currently its Vice-President and representative to IT STAR. After graduating from the Warsaw Institute of Technology in 1975 he received his Ph.D. at the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 1981-89 he was professor at Boston University and research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Then he worked in Silicon Valley, designing computer graphics workstations (Indigo, Indy and O2) used for animation, special effects and TV\/film postproduction.
