IPTS – IT STAR International Conference on ICT Research and Innovation Challenges in Eastern European Member States (EEMS), 11 November 2011 in Budapest  

Many of the conference presentations are already uploaded at http://eems.starbus.org and the rest will be there soon. The registered attending participants will have the benefit to participate in real-time by contributing to the debate… everyone else can participate virtually via the ShapeIT link.

It is still not too late to register at http://eems.starbus.org. The registration process closes on 9 November at 10.00 GMT.

IPTS – IT STAR International Conference on ICT Research and Innovation Challenges in Eastern European Member States (EEMS), 11 November 2011 in Budapesthttp://eems.starbus.org

Leading experts from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have prepared a joint paper and presentation on The Baltic R&D in ICT Scene. The ICT R&D challenges in the Western Balkans will be discussed by the Chair of the eSEE Initiative. On the basis of these and other presentations (pls check the Program),  representatives of Academia, Industry and Government will debate the issues of ICT R&D as they confront the EEMS countries. The conference debate will not be confined to the conference hall but will extend beyond it with such manifestations as:

  • A co-sponsored lunch by EUCIP-AICA, at which a speaker will present the European Certification for Informatics Professionals (EUCIP) as aligned with the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF)
  • Consultations with representatives of the EIT ICT Lab
  • Demos and posters during coffee breaks planned by the Hungarian Mobility and Multimedia Cluster, and more …

The IPTS – IT STAR International Conference on ICT Research and Innovation Challenges in Eastern European Member States (EEMS), 11 November 2011 in Budapesthttp://eems.starbus.org — is on target.

The program is based on well-known speakers (bios posted at the web-site) who will address such issues as ICT R&D policies, performance, financing, success stories/setbacks, competitiveness, multi-stakeholder partnership, participation in international programs, and more, from the perspectives of Academia, Industry and Government.

A ShapeIT link is provided at the conference web-site to allow you to share your experience on R&D in EEMS by submitting your advance observations and recommendations. These will be processed and addressed during the conference debate.

Registrations are open at http://eems.starbus.org – there is no registration fee but advance registrations are required as attendance is limited to the capacity of the conference hall.

Registrations for the IPTS – IT STAR International Conference on ICT Research and Innovation Challenges in Eastern European Member States (EEMS), on 11 November 2011 in Budapest, Hungary are now open at http://eems.starbus.org .

The organizers provide a forum to a constellation of star-speakers and to leaders in Academia, Government, Industry and the ICT-related Civil Society to address burning issues of the R&D Agenda with a major impact on research, innovation and competitiveness in the EU and beyond.

Check the speakers list at http://eems.starbus.org and register on the conference web-site to join us for the exercise. You will be most welcome in Budapest!
